Is Chamonix a safe place to ski for a novice? - chamonix ski school
Me and my little brother decided to Chamonix
somwehere or Andorra, but at the same time, even a little research I found this:
http://www.chamonix.eu.com/death-stats/
I know that skiing can be dangerous wherever he goes, but these statistics are particularly dangerous?
Mont Blanc (where we seem to want to go) to be off the scale!?

I do not have to Chamonix, where are you and your brother tried to rookies, but I think the statistics always seem to see the dark side - remember that, even though skiing is a dangerous sport. Did you try their thoughts, Serre Chevalier, which consists of three villages and a wide range of ski which is suitable for beginners and advanced. It is really beautiful and there's always plenty to do. Wherever you go you will enjoy your vacation.
I do not think that Chamonix is a good place to go is a newcomer with his brother. I think that Andorra is an excellent choice for beginners and children.
I ski in Pas de la Casa, Andorra on behalf of Soldeau and in the capital. Pas de la Casa and Soldeau are now online (but you need a lift right of access to areas of transition)
The main difference is, with Andorra and Chamonix is a big difference in the price of alcohol and après-ski is. In relation to the sites, Andorra is very well suited for beginners and has many English tutors and English. (there will be less than the ski instructor in Chamonix in Colombia in the French system of dismissal, although this has improved in recent years)
I think the statistics will be more deaths, the extreme skiing off-piste connection is excellent, and in particular in Chamonix Mont Blanc. This is not something that I like a beginner, so that the mortality statistics are irrelevant.
However, we have the number of deathsInhalation of vomit from excess alcohol and hypothermia in Andorra. It can be very similar!
Les Houches of the type mentioned is really good, and a nice place. There is another village near Chamonix which is great - tennis very large nursery and then delivered (green and blue and maybe red if it is) for them to get better if you call Megeve. Drinks and there is a big-ticket items though. In addition, Les Houches, Megève and skiing, and elsewhere, for example. St Gervais Bettex are all in the same package on a journey through different places. I deffo Chamonix as a beginner.

Climbing a few - most of the death statistics are skiing, or that in the backsountry and majorty of them die of avalanches. Fortunately, the royal compound in Chamonix (within the limits and loans), the avalanche control, and as safe as any other station.
